(WILLIAMSBURG, VIRGINIA) There are sure to be plenty of little skeletons and ghosts running around in search of candy this Halloween. X-ray machines at several Velocity Urgent Care centers across Virginia. Velocity Urgent Care is Committed to a Safe Halloween with Free Candy Screenings. We will be looking at something other than skeletons for once. They’ll be screening your child’s candy for potentially dangerous items. This free service will be available in select Velocity Urgent Care centers on Wednesday, October 31st, and Thursday, November 1st after the Trick-Or-Treat festivities are complete. Parents can bring their kids anytime between 2:00 and 8:00 p.m. on those days to have their Halloween candy x-rayed. Participating locations include Norfolk (Wards Corner), Suffolk, South Boston, Virginia Beach (Town Center), and Woodbridge. No appointment is necessary to have your child’s candy screened, just stop in when you’re done Trick-Or-Treating.
With alarming news reports of Halloween candy being laced with needles, pins, glass, or other foreign objects, parents have reason to be concerned. Velocity Urgent Care is Committed to a Safe Halloween with Free Candy Screenings. Having the candy x-rayed will identify any potential dangers before your kids dig into their goodies. This will help put parents’ minds at ease and ensure Halloween can be a fun night for everyone with all the treats and no tricks. Waiver is required and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
