DOT PHYSICALS PHYSICAL EXAMS

Velocity Urgent Care makes getting your DOT physical easy

Keeping drivers safe is important to Velocity Urgent Care. Federal law requires drivers of commercial motor vehicles (DMVs) to receive regular physical examinations. These exams are defined as “Department of Transportation Medical Examinations.” DOT physicals are highly regulated for drivers’ safety and all medical examiners performing Department of Transportation physicals (DOT) must be trained and certified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and stay current on all DOT regulations and testing protocols. A DOT Physical Exam determines whether or not a driver is physically able to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle. The physical exam evaluates a driver’s medical history, vision, hearing, blood pressure, respiratory system, & physical attributes. Drivers may be medically cleared for up to two years, with some exceptions that are determined by elements such as blood pressure and glucose levels.

Schedule an appointment time or walk right in

DOT physicals are performed at all of our locations during regular business hours. We accept walk-in DOT Physicals, but scheduling your visit is recommended to make sure that a certified medical examiner is working when you arrive. At Velocity Urgent Care, we value your time. There are a few things that you can do to make your time here quick and seamless during your DOT physical exam: To save time, fill out the driver’s portion of the Medical Examination Report prior to your visit. Insurance does not cover this exam. We accept cash, check or credit card at time of service. Bring a complete list of ALL medications, including doctor’s name and doses. To schedule an appointment, please visit https://velocityuc.com/locations/.

For employers, we offer direct billing arrangements. Please contact us to discuss the specific needs of your company and to set up an account.
