VELOCITY URGENT CARE TO OPEN SECOND WILLIAMSBURG AREA LOCATION
WILLIAMSBURG, Va., January 2, 2020 – Velocity Urgent Care (https://velocityuc.com) will open its second Williamsburg area location, according to Velocity Urgent Care CEO Alan Ayers. It will be located in the Lightfoot Marketplace at Centerville Road and US Route 60 in Lightfoot. The new location primarily will serve patients in the areas north of Williamsburg including Norge, Toano and New Kent. Located near Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, it will provide a faster, lower-cost alternative to the emergency room and reduce unnecessary emergency room visits. Patients will also benefit from Velocity’s referral relationships, according to Ayers. “The Lightfoot location will be the ‘front door’ to the best of Sentara, referring patients for follow-up and specialist care,” he said. “It will be the perfect companion to our flagship urgent care location in New Town.”
The Lightfoot location is expected to open during the second quarter of 2020.
